"My vote today was a vote for government transparency and decency.

I regularly hear from constituents about the President's comments, tweets, actions and behavior and their comments are always negative. Many families are rightfully embarrassed and outraged by his consistently un-presidential behavior and remarks.

Washington, DC – Today, the U.S. House of Representatives unanimously passed the Connected Government Act (H.R. 2331), authored by Congresswoman Robin Kelly. This bipartisan bill would ensure that all government websites are mobile-friendly.

"With more than 40 percent of web traffic to government websites coming from mobile devices, it's basic good government to make certain that government websites work on all devices Americans use," said Congresswoman Kelly, top Democrat on the Oversight Committee's Information Technology (IT) subcommittee.

Washington, DC – Today, Congresswoman Robin Kelly spoke on the House floor against the proposed GOP tax plan that would raise taxes on working and middle class families.

Under the proposed GOP plan, key deductions and credits that help Illinois families will be reduced or eliminated resulting in a higher tax bill for these families. The GOP plan is also estimated to add $1.5 trillion to the national deficit.
