Washington, DC – U.S. Representative Robin Kelly (IL-02) joined U.S. Representative Mike Bost (IL-12) today in reintroduced the bipartisan Beginning Agriculturist Lifetime Employment (BALE) Act, legislation he introduced during the last Congress to ensure agricultural producers—especially those just getting started—have access to credit to expand or diversify their operations.

Washington, DC – Today, the House Energy and Commerce Energy Subcommittee unanimously approved Congresswoman Kelly's legislation to increase funding for energy efficiency investments in government-owned buildings.

"Just like a family insulates walls and windows to save money in the winter, the government should be doing the exact same thing: because it works, because it saves money and because it's green," said Congresswoman Kelly.

"This plan is dead on arrival and not even worth the paper it's printed on.

Instead of recognizing and celebrating our nation's rich immigrant heritage – something that should be close to this President's heart given his mother and wife are both immigrants, this White House has instead decided to pander to its hardline base.

Congresswoman Robin Kelly announced today that Bourbonnais resident Keeley Schwada has been offered an appointment to the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.

"Keeley possesses the patience and tenacity to become an outstanding Naval officer," Congresswoman Kelly said. "More women in leadership roles across our military and our government can only make American stronger. I have great faith that our younger generation has the know-how and resolve to confront the national security challenges of the 21^st Century."

Washington, DC – Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed Congresswoman Robin Kelly's bipartisan Orange Book Transparency Act (H.R. 1503). This legislation will increase access to lower cost generic drugs and bolster competition in the marketplace to drive down prescription drug costs by making technical changes to the Orange Book and listing process.
