The Keeping Guns from High-Risk Individuals Act prevents guns from falling into the hands of people with high-risk behaviors such as stalking, violent hate crimes, and domestic violence.

WASHINGTON – Congresswoman Robin Kelly (IL-02) spoke at a press conference on Capitol Hill today as Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley (MA-07), Speaker-Emerita Nancy Pelosi, and House Appropriations Committee Ranking Member DeLaura released a groundbreaking report. The report by the Government Accountability Office (GAO) found that Black girls nationwide face disproportionately severe discipline compared to other girls and receive harsher punishments than their white peers for similar behaviors.

Calumet City, Ill. – Congresswoman Robin Kelly (IL-02) presented Hoover-Schrum Memorial School District with $1,725,000 in federal funding to purchase five new electric school buses. Rep. Kelly toured a model of the bus from Illinois manufacturer Lion Electric, along with Calumet City Mayor Thaddeus Jones, Hoover-Schrum Memorial Superintendent Dr. Dwayne Evans, US EPA Region Chief of Staff Alfred Saucedo, and Lion Electric Director of Government Relations Brian Robb.
