Rep. Kelly Photo Contest to Highlight Beauty of 2nd District

Congresswoman Robin Kelly is inviting residents and visitors to capture the beauty and uniqueness of the 2nd Congressional District by taking part in an online photo contest.

Congresswoman Robin Kelly announced today that the Homewood Fire Department was awarded a $1.8 million federal grant that will benefit 18 south suburban fire departments. Homewood applied for the grant on behalf of the region's joint dispatch center and was supported in its efforts by Congresswoman Robin Kelly.

The funding will assist with the purchase of portable radios and firefighter training. Made available through the Department of Homeland Security, the grant will also benefit the Village of Park Forest.
