Congressional Black Caucus Health Braintrust Chair Dr. Robin L. Kelly issued the following statement following oral arguments for King v. Burwell at the Supreme Court:

"The Affordable Care Act rightfully makes premium tax credits available to all eligible Americans regardless of where they live. That's why this bill works. It bridges the divide that contributes to health inequality in America.

The House Foreign Affairs Committee, chaired by U.S. Rep. Ed Royce (R-CA), unanimously passed bipartisan legislation to condemn Boko Haram and highlight Nigeria's upcoming election. Specifically, the legislation (H. Res. 53), introduced by Rep. Robin Kelly (D-IL), condemns the cowardly attacks on innocent men, women, and children in northeastern Nigeria urges Nigeria to hold a safe and credible election without delay.

Congresswoman Robin Kelly will host a Housing Expo on Saturday, March 14, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at New Faith Baptist Church, 25 Central Ave., Matteson. "I'm saddened by the news of Kayla Mueller's death. Kayla was a remarkable young woman trying to make the world a better place, and she did. The crimes of groups like ISIL will never best the indomitable spirit of good and humanity that exists in Kayla and many like her.
