Since the horrific Hamas terrorist attack on October 7th, I have thoughtfully engaged with communities who have a stake in the future of the Palestinian and Israeli people. I take my responsibility as a Member of Congress and defender of American interests seriously, and I do not consider our role in this conflict lightly.

Today, I am calling for a renewed, bilateral ceasefire agreement and I urge both Israel and Hamas to explore all possible paths to achieve a just and lasting peace.
