Washington, D.C. - This week, Congresswoman Robin Kelly, ranking member of the IT subcommittee, will introduce legislation to address cyber vulnerabilities created by the adoption of Internet-connected devices, commonly called ‘IoT' or the ‘Internet of Things.'

Washington, DC – Yesterday, Congresswoman Robin Kelly was unanimously elected as the Region IV representative to the House Democratic Steering and Policy Committee.

Congresswoman Kelly will replace Congressman Andre Carson (IN) who was term limited.

Washington, DC – Last night, the U.S. House passed the bipartisan Action for Dental Health Act.

This bipartisan legislation, introduced by Congresswoman Robin Kelly (D-IL) and Congressman Mike Simpson, DMD (R-ID), to provide essential oral and dental health services to underserved communities. The Action for Dental Health Act targets federal funding to provide vulnerable populations, especially children, seniors and those living in rural and urban communities with dental care.

Washington, DC – Congresswoman Robin Kelly, chair of the Congressional Black Caucus Health Braintrust, released this statement following the introduction of the Health Equity and Accountability Act in the U.S. Senate:

"Today, we took another important step toward expanding access to healthcare with the Senate introduction of the Health Equity and Accountability Act. This important bill is based upon one simple premise that all Americans can support: your health should never be determined by the zip code in which you were born.

Within hours of the National Rifle Association (NRA) attacking medical providers, who called for expanded public health research and action to prevent gun violence, America's doctors responded across social media using the hashtag #ThisISOurLane. Many doctors shared haunting and horrific pictures of themselves covered in blood after treating gun violence victims.

Congresswoman Robin Kelly, vice chair of the House Gun Violence Prevention Task Force, released this statement concerning the shooting at The Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, PA:

"My heart is with the families and congregation of Tree of Life Synagogue and the Pittsburgh community.

Once again, our nation saw the impacts of someone with hate in their heart who had access to a gun. With a gun, he turned that hate into violence and now, people are dead and families are forever torn apart.

More than 300 job-seekers, including a notable percentage of mature workers, attended a Hiring Event hosted by Congresswoman Robin Kelly at the Lan-Oak Park District on Friday.

The annual event, in its 6^th year, featured more than 50 companies and agencies with active job openings, including FedEx Ground, Nucor Steel, UPS, ComEd, Uber, Advocate Health Care and Catholic Charities.
