Rep. Robin Kelly Celebrates Over $1.7M in USDA Grants Awarded to IL-02
Matteson, IL – Congresswoman Robin Kelly (IL-02) celebrated the United States Department of Agriculture’s announcement that its Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) has awarded $1,796,71.00 in grants to applicants in the Illinois Second Congressional District.
The USDA’s REAP program provides guaranteed loan financing and grant funding to agricultural producers and rural small businesses for renewable energy systems or to improve energy efficiency. Thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act, which Congresswoman Kelly worked to pass, the REAP program received $1.7 billion in additional funding.
