Rep. Robin Kelly Announces Over $370,000 of Health Grants Awarded to IL-02

Matteson, IL – Congresswoman Robin Kelly (IL-02) announced that the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded Illinois Second Congressional District grant recipients with awards totaling $370,075.000. 

Three of these grant awards are a part of the HHS’s Bridge Access Program. The Bridge Access Program maintains broad access to COVID-19 vaccines for millions of uninsured Americans. The program helps uninsured individuals access COVID-19 care at their local pharmacies, through existing public health infrastructure, and at their local health centers.

Bridge Access Program grant award recipients: 

  • $46,602 - Chicago Family Health Center, Inc.

  • $44,446 - Family Christian Health Center

  • $154,027 - Aunt Martha's Health And Wellness, Inc.

The fourth HHS grant awarded to the Second Congressional District during this funding cycle is a $125,000 Drug-Free Communities (DFC) Support Program. The DFC program provides grants to community coalitions to strengthen the infrastructure among local partners to create and sustain a reduction in local youth substance use.
