Congresswoman Kelly Responds to KKK Flyers Found in Park Forest & Manteno

Matteson, IL – Congresswoman Robin Kelly released this statement concerning flyers promoting the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) that were distributed in Park Forest, Manteno and other communities in Illinois's 2nd Congressional district:

"The offensive KKK flyers found in our community do not represent our values and are not welcome.

I'm proud to represent people and a community who accept and embrace all people.

I could not be prouder of my community for speaking out against the KKK and their hateful ideology. With one voice, our community proudly said: ‘Your hate is not welcome here.'

I will continue to support law enforcement and our local elected leaders as they work to get to the bottom of this situation."
