Congresswoman Kelly Remembers Carolyn Rush

Matteson, IL – Congresswoman Robin Kelly released this statement remembering Carolyn Rush:

"I'm deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Carolyn Rush. She was a strong woman who loved her family and this great city.

Throughout her life, she was a tireless advocate for ending the violence that plagues our community. She turned her own personal tragedy into a call for action to save lives.

Personally, I have always appreciated the remarkable kindness that she personally showed to me. I know that her counsel, remarkable spirit and warmth will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. My thoughts and prayers are with Congressman Rush and his family at this difficult time."
