The Democrats of the US House have taken action against the out of control prices of drugs in the US. A bill has been passed by the House that would lower the prescription-drug prices. All of the Democrats voted in favor of the bill and the bill passed with the margin of 230-192 votes. Two Republican representatives also voted in favor of the bill on Thursday.

The Helping Medicaid Offer Maternity Services (MOMS) Act of 2019 was introduced by Rep. Washington D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Robin Kelly (D-IL) and Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner (R-WI) introduced the Gunfire Detection and Location Technology Act.
The legislation would direct the U.S. Attorney General to provide grants to states and localities for gunfire detection and location technology. Specifically, it would authorize $40 million in grants to be distributed in equal parts over the coming four fiscal years.
House lawmakers are pushing a bill that would make it easier for states to provide Medicaid coverage to new mothers for a longer period of time, in the hopes it will curb the rate of women dying from complications after giving birth.
Democrats and Republicans often don't agree on who should be covered by Medicaid, which provides health care for low-income individuals. But the number of women experiencing pregnancy-related health problems—killing 700 women per year—has brought lawmakers to the table to look for ways to improve access to and quality of postpartum care.
