WASHINGTON — Members of the Congressional Black Caucus pressured Facebook this week to seriously examine how the site allowed Russian operatives to use advertising to target Black Lives Matter and sow racial divisions ahead of last year's election.

At a time when community trust in law enforcement is extremely low, the President's reckless decision will make this situation worse.
We know that building strong community-police relations improve public safety and give minority communities a voice in how their communities are policed.
Washington, DC – Last week, the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee (OGR) passed Congresswoman Kelly's Connected Government Act (HR 2331). The bill will now move to the House floor for a vote.
"I'm extremely excited to see this common sense bill move forward to help more Americans connect with their government and government services," said Kelly who serves as Ranking Member of the House IT Subcommittee. "In 2017, mobile-friendly websites are necessary, because one in ten Americans only uses a cellphone to access the Internet."
The two Illinois representatives in the U.S. House seem far apart in several ways. Mike Bost, a Republican from Murphysboro, represents a district at the southern end of the state. Robin Kelly is a northern Illinois Democrat whose district includes part of Chicago's south side as well as farms in Kankakee County.
