Washington, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman Robin Kelly (IL-02) led the reintroduction of the Access to Birth Control Act. The legislation would guarantee patients’ timely access to birth control, both prescribed and over the counter, at pharmacies nationwide. In April, U.S. Senators Cory Booker (D-NJ) and Patty Murray (D-WA) introduced companion legislation in the Senate.

DANVILLE, ILL. –  Today, Congresswoman Robin Kelly (IL-02) joined a roundtable hosted by the Illinois Soybean Association (ISA) at the Gilbert Street Cafe that focused on strategies for increasing and sustaining investment in rural communities throughout the US. The roundtable featured three more key stakeholders dedicated to rural advancement: Bryan Severs, local farmer and ISA Director;  JT Barnhart, OSF HealthCare Heart of Mary Medical Center and Sacred Heart Medical Center (Danville);  and Illinois State Senator Paul Faraci.

Rantoul, Ill. – Congresswoman Robin Kelly (IL-02) presented $540,000 in federal funding to the Rantoul Youth Center. This funding will help the Center make critical upgrades to its kitchen preparation and serving area, relocate the freezers and refrigerators, finish the main dining room, and update the offices and the gym. The Rantoul Youth Center operates a Summer Food Program to provide meals to children   during the school break.
