Rep. Kelly Announces New Senior Health Policy Advisor

WASHINGTON, DC – Congresswoman Robin Kelly (IL-02), today announced Dr. Anita Burgos will serve as Senior Health Policy Advisor in her Washington, D.C. Office. Burgos most recently worked as a Senior Policy Analyst at the Bipartisan Policy Center.

"Anita is a neuroscientist with a wealth of health policy knowledge and experience, and I am excited to have her joining my staff," said Congresswoman Kelly. "Improving healthcare and ending health disparities are two of my top priorities in Congress. Anita shares these passions and will be a wonderful addition to my team. I look forward to working with her to continuing serving the people of Illinois' second congressional district."

Anita earned her PhD in neuroscience at Columbia University. Prior to her position at the Bipartisan Policy Center, she served as an American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Health Care Fellow in the office of U.S. Senator Tina Smith.
