Congresswoman Kelly Nominates Local High School Students to Military Academies
Congresswoman Robin Kelly has nominated high school students from the 2nd Congressional District for admission to the three United States military academies.
"It's with immense pride that I nominate these outstanding young men and women, knowing they will represent the 2nd Congressional District and our nation with honor and distinction," Congresswoman Kelly said. "Through hard work, commitment and discipline, each has earned the opportunity to attend our nation's finest military academies. I look forward to seeing them enter into the next generation of military leaders."

Each academy will review the list of students nominated by the Congresswoman and select the finalists for admission as cadets. The academies have an extremely competitive application process and are ranked annually among the best colleges in America. Upon graduation, the cadets become U.S. military officers and typically serve at least five years in the armed services.
