Congressional Leaders Ask: “Will Microsoft’s New Sexual Harassment Policy Cover All Forms of Discrimination?”
Washington, DC – Today, Congresswoman Robin Kelly (D-IL), Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-NJ) and Congressman Emanuel Cleaver (D-MO) sent a letter to Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella. The letter requested clarifying information about Microsoft’s decision to eliminate forced arbitration in sexual harassment cases.
In the letter, they urge similar action be taken for all cases of workplace discrimination. They also request additional insights into Microsoft’s specific policies regarding discrimination. The full text of the letter is available here.
In regards to the policy and letter, Congresswoman Robin Kelly said, “if it’s good for the goose [sexual harassment,] then it should be good for the gander [all forms of discrimination] too.”
